 | Amazonian studies Visit my review of the Families of Amazonian Fish. Work is continuing with Projeto Mamiraua on the aquatic ecology of floodplains. A number of recent publications on fish and evolution within these systems have been produced. | Diversity and Species Richness Studies are being undertaken on diversity and species richness in aquatic systems. An investigation is underway on the application of recently developed species richness estimators. Work is focusing on stopping rules to decide when sufficient sampling has been completed to estimate species richness. As part of these studies a computer program to calculate species diversity and richness has been produced by the partnership of Pisces Conservation Ltd and Projeto Mamiraua |  | |
